This Cookie Policy explains how PokeIndie uses cookies and similar technologies on the PokeIndie website (the "Service"), and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels. "First-party" cookies are set by PokeIndie; "third-party" cookies are set by others, such as Google.
2. The categories we use
- Strictly necessary (always on): required to run the site, keep you signed in, and protect against fraud and cross-site request forgery. These do not require consent.
- Functional: remember preferences such as your cookie choice.
- Analytics (consent required): help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Advertising (consent required): used, where advertising is enabled, to show and measure ads, including personalized ads.

4. Managing your choices
- On PokeIndie: use the "Cookie settings" control (bottom-left of the site) to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies at any time. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off because the Service will not work without them.
- Analytics is enabled by default to measure Service usage and is disabled when you choose Decline in the consent panel. Advertising storage remains disabled.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may stop working.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure usage by default, with IP handling anonymized. You can disable it at any time through Cookie settings or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes data.
6. Advertising cookies
Where advertising (including Google AdSense) is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, and from other participating vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.

We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the technologies we use change. We will revise the date above when we do.
